Went swimming with Natalie today…first time at bishan swimming complex…boy, was it crowded…guess it’s all e same everywhere on weekends… Hadn’t been exercising for 2 weeks so I was really looking to burn some fats…managed 30 laps…but the lack of stamina showed..was quite tired after completing the 30th lap…. One thing really interesting about swimming in a public cesspool on weekends is that you notice a lot of young kids taking swimming lessons…some of them are just darn cute lah…so tiny! Think they’ve only just learnt to walk or something..but there they are…prancing about and jumping into the water…really amazing…and oh so adorable…think it’d be quite fun to be a swimming instructor…too bad I suck at swimming tho..haha Shucks, natalie is so fortunate lah…she just came back from a company-sponsored trip to bintan…all expenses paid and FIVE meals a day! (the 3 main meals and 2 tea breaks) supposed to be some company-bonding trip with a few “meetings” thrown in to justify the cost…oh she’s interning for Daimler-Chrysler btw…yup…Mercedes-Benz company…so shiok lah… But then again, I get free toys and board games so I shdn’t complain too much~ here’s to ripping off the big companies! Cheers mate! J Anyhow, we went junction 8 after that, and saw Stephanie! She’s another smu schmate…wow..long time since we’ve seen her…we’re gonna meet for dinner this Wednesday, God willing, hmm…not bad…at last there’s some sign of a social life creeping back into my dour lifestyle…haha Was shopping ard in junction 8…cldn’t find anything I fancied…UNTIL I came across this stall selling Christian T-Shirts and stuff…I KNEW I had to get something from that store…e T-shirts they’re selling are pretty good stuff….very applicable messages on them while the designs are quite classy, funky or just funny, although the material doesn’t seem very good…eventually bought one t-shirt and a “Live for Him” red rubber wrist band (yes, I have become “one of those ppl who wear those bands, as Natalie pointed out. Ah, but at least mine expresses my beliefs..how cool is that? Haha…excuses for posing..) paid abit more than I would usually pay for a t-shirt (that’s $23 if ur wondering) but think it’s quite worth it…they’re opening another stall in jurong point soon (dunno how soon) check it out ya? Gd way to get a nice t-shirt and spread the message at the same time J There was a dog-show at the place….dogs all ard…some were really cute…I don’t mind dogs, and generally all animals…but, I guess, deep down, I’m a cat person, no doubt about it, dogs just seem so….needy…..even vulgar, in the way they behave..to me I prefer to just look at a cat..so much more elegant and refined…oh well…I AM prejudiced..so? sue me. =POh man…so late now…got so many things to prepare for tmr…haha….so much for having fun 1st and working hard after that :P
