yeah...so much for the blog silence during exam period. anyways..played a soccer match for the combined ORPC/BBPC team against St margaret's / St peter's church (apparently that's just 1 church...anglican one next to SP) they were a bunch of young lads while we were a bunch of old fogeys (youngest in our team,17, is probably the oldest amongst them). while we fought valiantly, even taking the lead twice (1-0 and 2-1), eventually the energy factor told...with no substitutes, we were probably drained out by the end of the 1st half. at least i knew i was! final score, a 2-5 loss...quite disappointing really, but given the circumstances, we were quite fortunate to come away with that score..if the opposition was more seasoned, i think it'd have turned out to be a rugby scoreline. just one personal feeling after the match...GOTTA TRAIN MY STAMINA! arghh....really need stamina to play on the field or i'd just be a passenger...towards the end of the match i was cramping up...couldn't run at all with my calves throbbing...sheesh...so useless...so...after exams i'm gonna go for runs/swim/gym.. just for my beloved soccer :P the match was at faraway bishan..nearly the other side of the world...it's a good thing i study well on buses...else it would have been such a slack day..as always, after a field soccer match, i've got plenty of aggression...a lot of drive to feed off to motivate myself to study, but a nice person it does not make me...so watch out! GRRRR anyhoo, during the morning, had BB...quite a struggle cos there were only 2 officers. Caleb finally joined us! haha..very happy to have him cos i think he is a very zhai and calm person. teaches primary school kids too and can see he loves kids but, at the same time, is not afraid to play the bad guy....good times ahead for the Boys then..haha after the parade, had some meeting with the principal and some of the staff to get our VAL (volunteer adult leader) certificate. basically it allows us to take the Boys and girls for parade without needing a teacher to be around. wow. how we would have needed this certification for the past 2 years where we've hardly ever had teachers around anyways. the Boys warned me about the principal being kinda long winded, but it's something that you'd have to experience to know their pain. she went through the some rules and regulations regarding the VAL certification. it was 2 pages. but we took nearly an hour. at each point, she slowly and rather steadily, enunciated every single world, ending each point with an example of a news article she'd read before. can't imagine her reading a storybook to her grandchildren man. ah well...kinda sleepy now..Zzzzz
